L.T. Caplan is a native of Hampton Roads, born in Norfolk and raised in Virginia Beach, Virginia. He graduated from Kempsville High School in Virginia Beach and earned his undergraduate business degree from the Eller School of Business at the University of Arizona. L.T. then pursued a legal degree from the University of Miami School of Law.

In 2006, L.T. founded the Caplan Law Group, initially focusing on real estate law, corporate law, landlord-tenant law, and collection law. Under his leadership, the firm has significantly expanded its practice areas and team, establishing itself as one of the largest settlement agents in the Commonwealth of Virginia and Northeastern North Carolina

With extensive experience in real estate transactions and business law, L.T. has successfully represented a diverse range of clients, including:

• Numerous large and small residential and commercial investors, developers, and management companies with their corporate, investment, landlord-tenant, and collection needs.

• Oversaw tens of thousands of residential transactions.

• Drafted numerous residential and commercial leases and contracts.

• Closed a variety of commercial real estate transactions, including retail shopping centers, office buildings, and large multifamily properties.

Currently, L.T. represents a wide array of clients throughout Virginia, including businesses, developers, lenders, investors, landlords, tenants, property managers, and both residential purchasers and sellers.
